SOFTENER HARD WATER SOFTENER SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
PhenomenaReasonFix
1. The system does not regenerateA. There is no electricity.

B. Broken time clock

A. Check fuses, sockets, switches.

B. Replace the clock

2. The treated water is of poor quality
  1. A. Bypass valve opens
  2. B. There is no salt in the jar
  3. C. Ejector or salt suction net is clogged
  4. D. Lack of water in the salt tank
  5. E. Water has high hardness
  6. F. The distribution tube inside the softener tank is  leaking.
  7. G. The valve inside the control unit is leaking.
A.  Close the Bypass valve

B.  Add salt to the jar and maintain the salt level above the water level.

C.  Clean the ejector and salt suction net

D.   Check the salt tank filling time and clean the salt suction system

E.   Rinse the soft water tank again

F.   Make sure the delivery hose is not cracked. Check the gasket and distribution pipe.

G.  Replace gaskets, rings or pistons.

3. The device uses too much saltA. Incorrect salt amount setting

B. There is too much water in the salt tank

A.  Check the amount of salt needed and reset

B.  See issue #7

4. The system has too much pressure loss
  1. A. Iron deposits build up in water supply pipes
  2. B. Iron residue in the softener tank
  3. C. Something is blocking the pipe.
  1. A. Clean the water supply pipes
  2. B. Clean the control equipment and wash the resin with chemicals. Increase regeneration frequency/backwash time.
  3. C. Remove the piston and clean the control unit.
5. Resin beads are lost in the discharge pipe
  1. A. There is air in the system
  2. B. Large resin blocking mesh.
  1. A. Release air from the pipeline,
  2. B. Replace the resin blocking mesh with a smaller size.
6. Filtered water contains ironA. Resin beads are dirty.A. Check the backwash, salt suction and salt tank filling times. Increase regeneration frequency, increase backwash time.
7. There is excess water in the salt jarA.  Exhaust flow control is clogged

B.  Ejector clogged

C.  The time clock is not running correctly

D.  There is an obstruction in the salt suction valve

E.  There is an obstruction in the salt suction pipe

F. Power loss during the period of returning water to the salt tank

A.  Clean the exhaust pipe

B.  Clean the ejector and salt suction net

C.  Replace the time clock

D.  Clean or replace the salt suction valve

E.  Clean the salt suction pipe

F. Check the power source.

8. Cannot absorb saltA.  Exhaust flow control is clogged

B.  Ejector clogged

C.  The ejector screen is clogged

D.  Inlet pressure too low (Slenoid valve not closing).

E.  The internal control system is leaking.

F.  Adapter not working

A.  Clean the exhaust pipe

B.  Clean the ejector

C.  Clean the screen

D. Increase pressure to 20psi

E. Replace gaskets, rings and pistons

F.  Check the motor and switches.

9. Continuous regeneration deviceA. Incorrect installation, or the switch is stuckA. Check and replace.
10. The exhaust pipe flows continuouslyA.  Incorrect program installation

B.  There is a foreign object in the controller.

C.  Leakage inside the controller

A.  Check the installation program. If it cannot be fixed, the valve head must be replaced.

B.  Remove the valve head for inspection. Take out the foreign object and check the controller in different positions of the regeneration cycle.

C.  Replace gaskets, rings and pistons.

NOTICE OF ERRORS

(Only displayed when the Valve is in “In Service” working mode)

Err 0The valve motor is not workingTurn off the power
Err 1The valve motor operates continuouslyWhen connecting power, the Err signal will disappear. If it has not been resolved, the Err signal will appear again.
Err 2The system has been working for 99 days without being regenerated.Regeneration must be performed immediately
